Gugulethu-Sofia Mbatha or Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actress British actress who gained recognition for her performance in the television show 'Doctor Who.' Chelsea Joy Handler is a New Jersey native born in Livingston on February 25, 1975. She was the eldest of six children within the family. Handler's father was a used car dealer, and her mother was a homemaker. Her mother came to the United States in 1958, in the form of an immigrant from Germany. After ten long years of fight against breast cancer, she died in 1989. Handler was born into a Reform Judaism family. Her father was Jewish. Handler lived in a great area with a great family. When she was 19 she relocated from the city of her birth to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Handler started acting in order to make income. When she turned 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time profession because she realized her story telling talents. At the beginning of her career Handler started out her profession as part of the Oxygen network all-female cast for the hidden camera/comedy reality show on TV called Girls Behaving Badly. It aired from 2002 until 2005. The handler was later employed in various other shows, including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler started working on The Tonight Show as a reporter. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she started running her own talk show for E! The Chelsea Handler Program. The Chelsea Handler show ran for two years. Handler performed at the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States following the season. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have been able to broadcast live stand-up shows. She was named as host of the MTV's 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. As a result, she was the only female host in history in the same category as Roseanne.
